As you travel over the river Avon outside of Bristol there are a series a gantries to allow contractors and inspectors to maintain and keep the structure safe.

 

These gantries from time to time need servicing themselves and in a period of maintenance Paintel Ltd were asked to re-coat the structure.

 

The tubular support beams were prepared to an St3 standard using mechanical hand tools and for this Highways England (HE) project HE approved 115, 116 168 paints were used.
